Fishing the Shadows on the Highway of Legends

Game Warden, Randy Waters has received threatening emails. So too has a parole officer in Canon City, Colorado. They try to find out what cases they have in common to stop the threat before someone gets killed. Randy is shot at while inspecting a poaching site and calls in his old friend Detective Don Pepper to help him find the shooter. Meanwhile a part-time resident in the foothills near Trinidad, Colorado butts into the case and tries to help solve it. His help is rejected at first until he uncovers some leads. The part-timer is a fisherman and remembers many fishing trips while he is fishing for clues in the shadows on the highway of legends. The reader will experience the beauty of the Sangre de Cristo mountains through the eyes of the characters while the case spins to its surprising conclusion.
